Jab Kareena Met Saif Sparks Didn't Fly

Kareena Kapoor celebrates her birthday today. Though she turns 33, she had gone through so many reinventions that she is still as good as new. Marriage has not even scratched the surface of her iconic status in Bollywood. One of the reigning divas in the Indian film industry, Kareena Kapoor Khan will forever stay young in her husband's eyes.

Well, he is many years her senior. She is automatically quite young compared to him. Their journey towards love did not start off with sparks. The duo had worked together for a couple of films before the attraction set in. Kareena dated Shahid and Saif was into a foreigner.

It was during a photoshoot by Dabboo Ratnani that the sparks flew. The photographer is well known for his sensuous shoots, and that's what the couple took to see what they were missing all this while. Rest, as they say, went down in history when Kareena married Saif and still did not convert to Islam.

Her and Saif's story is inspirational in itself, nevermind the filmy angle. The couple have said no to kissing other actors on screen and will soon be seen sharing screen space once again for Happy Ending. It is just a cameo role for the light eyed actress, but it gives her a chance to explore her onscreen chemistry with Saif once again.

Kareena and ex-flame Shahid have also buried their break-up issues and agreed separately to act with the other if the opportunity arises. That's one golden point for the actress, who showed that she can do anything if she sets her mind to it. Happy Birthday Kareena!

The prominent symbol of impression, the iconic submarine car driven by James Bond in the 1977 classic “The Spy Who Loved Me” captivated £550,000  when it was floated at auction for the first time in London during Monday. Accompanied by an intense bidding battle, The Lotus Esprit was finally sold to a telephone bidder at RM Auctions in Battersea located at south London.

Going back to the film the car was made for the scene in which Bond which was played by Roger Moore, escapes the gunfire from an overhead helicopter by thrusting forcibly into the water, accompanied by a nervous Barbara Bach in the passenger seat. Peter Haynes of RM Auctions Europe expresses that they are delighted with that price which is a great amount of money taking the piece of movie memorabilia into consideration. He was known to have added having it as an demeanor in mind it is not a car that can be driven on the road, the price just goes to justify the draw that all Bond-related memorabilia has.

That's certainly true that the iconic submarine car driven by James Bond can't be the car to be driven on the road, at least by seeing it's price tag. It would ideally remain as a memorabilia than running on the road.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences brought into prominence that the Oscars season commenced on Thursday. It also mentioned about such as actors Angelina Jolie, Angela Lansbury, Steve Martin and Italian costume designer Piero Tosi were the first to receive honorary Governors Awards.

To emphasize, the Governors Awards are an Oscar statuettes bestowed to those in film that have made outstanding contributions to the industry through their display of work. They will be bestowed at a ceremony in Hollywood during Nov 16.

The interesting news got into prominence that Jolie who is 38, happens to be the youngest of the four recipients, as well as being honored for her career, including her Oscar-winning role in 1999's Girl, Interrupted, her directorial debut accompanying 2011's In The Land Of Blood and Honey, along with her humanitarian work. On the other hand, comedic actor as well as three-time Oscar host Martin, 68, has a long-standing career playing amusingly clever otherwise dull characters in comedy films such as 1979's The Jerk, The Pink Panther series and also 2005's Shopgirl.

Amitabh and Rekha in "Welcome Back"?

Here's a piece of news that all you Hindi movie fans have been dying for!

If the grapevine is to be trusted, Bollywood's mega-couple — Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha — might return to the big screen soon.

One of India's much-adored on-screen pair, the duo were last seen romancing each other in the camera in Yash Chopra's love saga - “Silsila.”

However, their comeback movie will be a far cry from romance, it seems. Apparently, the stars will make their big-screen return together with Anees Bazmee's slapstick sequel “Welcome Back.”

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala and director Anees Bazmee are reportedly in talks with Bachchan and Rekha for the sequel of their 2007 hit 'Welcome'. Big B has  been offered  the role of RDX-- formerly played by late actor Feroz Khan, while Rekha has been offered the role of a wealthy fashionista.

"We are considering Rekhaji for a role which will have love angle between Nana and Anil. But it is too early to talk about all this as nothing is decided and confirmed. As there are three-four veteran actresses that we are thinking of it all depends if they like it or not, their dates and money issues," Bazmee told.
