James Cameron plans 3 sequels of Avatar
Maverick director James Cameron on Monday said that he would be making 3 more parts of Avatar,
the 2009 sci-fi blockbuster film. Cameron along with producer Jon
Landau met Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key in Wellingtoon as the
government agreed to a 25 percent rebate for the films. Cameron said
“all the three parts will be shot simultaneously and will be released
with a gap of 9 to 12 months.”
All the
three parts will be completely shot in New Zealand and they will come in
3D format. Cameron however did not disclose the budget of these three
projects and the insiders say they would cost around or may be less
than 1 billion US Dollars. The films will be made by Lightstorm
Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox. The principal shooting of the
sequel might begin early 2015.
