Shah Rukh And Rohit Shetty Plan To Produce A Marathi Film

Singham Returns filmmaker Rohit Shetty and the king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan are again going to work with each other once again by producing for a Marathi film. 'Chennai Express' film is a blockbuster in Bollywood with huge box office collections is a film in there combination.

Rohit Shetty said that he is looking out to produce for Marathi films and he is still working on things as it was not easy. He had already heard some scripts which have been narrated by some of his Marathi friends and he liked couple of them and looking forward to produce, sources revealed and the news has been conformed by Rohit Shetty before leaving to South Africa for hosting ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi.’

According to media reports, Shahrukh Khan said, “Rohit has a subject, so he was saying that we should make a Marathi film together. And I want to produce one soon”.

Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with his upcoming projects and the promotions of ‘Happy New Year’ which is going to release on October 24.

Ajay Devgn has hosted a party at his residence to celebrate the success of 'Singham Returns'. Most of the Bollywood celebrities attended the party but the party turned to be embarrassed for Ajay Devgn when his wife Kajol tried to come too close to Ajay in the presence of the guests in a drunken state.

The party was going fine until Kajol was over drunk and she tried to get cozy with Ajay while many guest, the team of ‘Singham Returns’ and his best friend director Rohit Shetty where present at the party.

The movie hit the box office and reached Rs 100 crore mark in just 5 days and the movie broke all the open records of Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.

‘Singham Returns’ made an opening day collection of Rs 32 crore while Aamir's 'Dhoom-3 earned Rs 31.86 crores, Salman's 'Kick' earned Rs 26 crore and SRK's 'Chennai Express’ earned Rs 30.48 crores.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Returns' hit the Box office with huge collections and it also stood in the 100 crore mark. If sources are to be believed "Rohit's next film, starring Shah Rukh Khan, will be a remake of the '90s hit film, 'Hum' and currently, things are being finalised for the same."

Hum which was released in 1991 is a blockbuster and it features Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth and Govinda in leading roles which is directed by Mukul S..

If the latest buzz is true then king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is going to play Amitabh Bachchan's character in the film. Varun Dhawan is going to play Govinda character and Sidharth Malhotra is going to play Rajinikanth's character in the film, yet nothing is been finalised.

There is also a buzz that Kajol will also be a part of this film.

“Rohit is still working on the film's script and he wants to add his own touch to the film. He is looking forward to working with SRK and Kajol," says a source close to the filmmaker.

Deepika clears her tongue on Chennai Express

As Deepika Padukone's obnoxious sounding Tamil spritzed Hindi dialogues continues to draw flak from the critics, the actress vehemently contesting all claims asserts that the film or her character is no way a spoof.

Deepika, who hails from Bangalore, says she wouldn't pluck up on her own culture for nothing.

"I don't understand why people are jumping to conclusion without even seeing the film. We all are South Indians, Rohit is a South Indian and I think except for SRK most of the crew was from South. Why would we spoof our own culture? For years, our films have been based in Punjab but now few films have started setting their stories in South India. I think people are not yet used to it. It is a comedy and larger-than-life film so dialogues are meant to be funny," Deepika said during a promotional event of 'Chennai Express'.

Rohit Shetty's “Chennai Express” starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, features Deepika as a Tamil girl who falls in love with a North Indian .

"I could identify with my character. I think Indian girls are like that. They have a mind of their own but are close to their families. Even when we are travelling outside, we don't lose that quality and stand out in the crowd. We have a way of carrying ourselves with lot of dignity and respect," added Deepika who believed the role was tailor cut for her.

Fresh from the success of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", the actress is looking forward to another hit in "Chennai Express" that releases this Friday, August 9.
